OpenSG Plus was a German government funded project with the goal of furthering the development of OpenSG and to integrate current research results from leading German universities in Computer Graphics. It ran from 2001 to 2003 and included the following partners:

•  Technical University Darmstadt, Graphical-Interactive Systems

•  University Bonn, Institute for Computer Science II

•  University Stuttgart, Department Visualisation and Interactive Systems

•  University Tuebingen, Graphical-Interactive Systems

Most of the results have been integrated into the OpenSG repository, most notably the clustering support, NURBS and Volumes.

As part of the OpenSG Plus project we also ran two conferences in 2002 and 2003, concerned with issues around scenegraph systems.
