Conclusion Event

The OpenSG Plus project that has been funded by the German government (bmb+f) will conclude on December 31st. The goal of the project was to expand the Open Source scene graph system OpenSG with the results of current computer graphics research as performed by a wide cross-section of the German computer graphics research community. 4 major areas were targetted:

  • Core functionality
  • Handling of Complex Models
  • Handling of High-Level Primitives
  • Handling of High-Level Shading

For more detailed information concerning the areas and partners use the menu items on top of the page.

The results that have been achieved in all areas are able to notedly elevate OpenSG over the state of the art in scene graph systems.

To present these results a conclusion event will be hosted at Fraunhofer IGD. In talks as well as demonstrations the developer will present their work and are available for questions and answers.

The event will take place on December 12th, 2003 in the Haus der Graphischen Datenverarbeitung in Darmstadt, Fraunhoferstraße 5 (Directions).
